The state of Washington doesn’t sleep in February. In fact, the colder months of the year seem to make the state come even more alive. These three events and activities are ones you don’t want to miss across the Evergreen State this month.
Spokane International Film Festival
The annual Spokane International Film Festival extends from Jan. 29 through Feb 6., with some of the world’s best feature-length films, shorts, documentaries and more on offer. This smaller, more selective film festival will feature a number of the films that will be played at the New York, Cannes and Toronto film festivals, without the heavy crowds or high admission prices. The festival will take place at varying locations across Spokane, so log onto the official SpIFF website to learn more.
Inlander Restaurant Week
If the cold temperatures are keeping you indoors, the Inlander Restaurant Week will get you back out on the town in Spokane. Restaurant week spans from Feb. 26 through March 6, with an array of the area’s top restaurants offering unbeatable specials and inspiring new dishes. You don’t have to be a foodie to enjoy a delicious meal for a great price during restaurant week. More details can be found on the InlanderRestaurantWeek.com website.
Lewiston Brewfest
There’s no better way to warm up this February than at the Lewiston Brewfest on Feb. 27, on Burrell Ave., just across the border in Idaho. The best microbrews from across the northwest states will be on offer, and visitors will enjoy a free ride home to anywhere within the LC Valley when the day is done. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and plenty of food will be on offer as well.
