Three Fun Camping Games for Teens and Adults

If you’re planning a getaway with the family, you might be wondering how to keep your teens entertained. By planning ahead you can ensure that they have a great time and are kept engaging with the family. Check out these three great camping games for teens and adults, then hit the road knowing you’ll make many memories with the family.

Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is a great way to make memories with the family and it can be tailored for a variety of age ranges. One of the most fun things about creating a scavenger hunt is that you can also align it with your location. Look for unique flora or fauna or do a wildlife scavenger hunt.

Another benefit of a scavenger hunt is you can create teams. Team up younger kids with old kids or grandparents with grandchildren. This is a great way to bond as a family and create memories.

Flashlight Tag

Flashlight tag is a fun game that can be played in the evening or night time. Bring along some flashlights and encourage everyone to bring a black outfit (this makes it even harder to find each other). Find a large field with tall grass or woods.

With flashlight tag a person is “it” and has a flashlight. They “tag” a person by shining the flashlight on them. It goes on just like tag. You’ll make tons of memories and have fun along the way. One thing to note is to make sure you aren’t in an area where people might be awoken by screaming.

Summer Olympics

Do you have a gaggle of teens who need to burn some energy? Set up a summer Olympics game! Design obstacle courses, if you’re by a lake create a swimming course or canoe or kayak competition. Take advantage of the features around you and have fun!
