April Events You Don’t Want to Miss


Washington is finally heating up for the spring season, and that means exciting events are happening everywhere. Fire up your RV and cruise to these fun indoor and outdoor April events.

Spokane Bike Swap

Considering purchasing a new road bike, mountain bike, beach cruiser or other two-wheeled vehicle this spring? There’s no better place to be than the Spokane Bike Swap. The event will be held at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center at 404 N. Havana St. New and used bikes can be purchased from the bike corral and a number of local bike shops and vendors will be on hand as well. Attend the event on April 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

27th Annual Japanese Spring Food Festival

Bring your taste buds to the annual Japanese Spring Food Festival at the Spokane Buddhist Temple. A number of traditional Japanese dishes will be served, including numerous types of Bento boxes, Japanese desserts, Gyoza and so much more. The event will take place at Haru Matsuri and includes a special temple open house. You can find the Spokane Buddhist Temple at 927 S. Perry St., and the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with food prices ranging from $5 to $12.

2017 Team Challenge Cup

Be prepared to be amazed at the 2017 Team Challenge Cup in Spokane. This inaugural event will feature a figure skating competition that’s a bit different than all others. The ISU-sanctioned event will take place for three days, featuring 42 of the world’s best figure skaters in a continental team competition. The event will feature team North America versus Team Europe and Team Asia. Each team will consisted of three men, three women, two ice dance teams and two pairs teams. Whether it’s your first ice skating competition or your 100th, you’re guaranteed to fall in love with this new, impressive format.
